OUR NEXT EVENT
Holiday Gift Drive
November 23 - December 10
While many events are cancelled this year because of pandemic restrictions, we will not let that dampen our joy and motivation to help the most needy in our community! As you enjoy this holiday season, join your fellow United Way donor network members in contributing to the YLS and RISE Holiday Gift Drive.
This year, toy and basic need essential donations will benefit children through Diocesan Migrant and Refugee Services as well as Center Against Sexual and Family Violence, two agencies supported through the United Way Community Impact Fund.
To participate, simply purchase an item on the wishlist, and have it mailed to the delivery address on file. Your contribution will brighten the day of a young El Pasoan this holiday season! Thank you for your commitment and happy holidays!
December 14 at 12PM
Come together as young leaders to learn how you can make an impact and advocate for causes you find important. Join the United Way Young Leaders Society as we continue the Community Matters series and discuss with elected officials the importance of local advocacy. Discuss how to be effective in advocacy efforts as well as the best approach to have your voice heard.
YLS BY REALIZE
The Young Leaders Society Cohort by REALIZE Board Training Program is an initiative to increase the involvement of young professionals on nonprofit governing boards.
Participants expand their skill set, grow their networks and make the community a better place through a series of board trainings tailored specifically for young professionals.
Graduates will be provided connections to nonprofits and recognized throughout the El Paso community for their commitment to becoming responsible and successful local leaders.
Spring - Fall 2020
RISE and the Young Leaders Society have teamed up on a new virtual speaker series, Community Matters, to host special conversations allowing you to be informed, current and connected to our community.
Family Fun Registry
In response to COVID-19, YLS and sister donor network, RISE, joined forces to host donation. To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, members supported nonprofit emergency shelters by collecting activities and in-home educational supplies to keep the minds of participants sharp. Items included puzzles, books, board games and more.
